Admission

Admission is $5 per person for ages 1 and over. 

Members & children under one year of age receive free admission. 

Free & reduced-price memberships are available for low-income families.

CMEC's Rules

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, please keep in mind the following rules:

1.  Use caution on stairs, ladders and slides and do not run.

2.  Food, drinks (including coffee!) and gum are not allowed -- except within the party room for scheduled parties.  Menus from downtown restaurants are available at the front desk.

3.  Kids and their grown-ups must be within the same exhibit area at all times. 

4.  Treat the exhibits and play things gently and put things back when you are finished.

Parking

Free, two-hour parking is available on the surrounding city streets and in a parking lot across from the museum.  However, many of our visitors have found they're not ready to leave after two hours, so you may want to consider parking in the Civic Center parking ramp across from the museum.  Parking in the ramp is free on weekends and weekdays after 6 PM, and only 50¢ an hour during weekdays.  Free parking is also available on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays in the Bank Mutual parking lot on the corner of Farwell Street and Main Street.

CMEC Policies §    Running, hitting, foul language, eating, drinking & chewing gum are not allowed. §    Respect for museum property & guests is expected at all times. Parents are asked to help children exhibit appropriate behavior. §    Shoes must be worn at all times.

§    Unattended bags will be taken to the front desk to prevent small children from being exposed to potentially dangerous contents. §    Visitors can leave the museum and be readmitted later that same day provided their hands are stamped and they show receipt of paid admission. §    CMEC is a drug-free, tobacco-free, violence-free environment. §   For safety reasons, no children will be admitted without adults & no adults will be admitted without children. (CMEC staff are happy to give adults a guided tour.)
